Ever since I was a little girl, furniture has been a HUGE part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of my grandfather and his furniture truck. He was a wholesaler for Hinkle Furniture (the company who builds the rocking chairs sold at Cracker Barrel Restaurants). I remember when I became old enough to go on trips with him – delivering to furniture stores all over Georgia and Tennessee. Because of his influence, my parents went on to open a retail furniture store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They operated the store for nearly 20 years – specializing in custom, hand-made furniture. The store became known in many parts of the South for the quality of our craftsmanship – particularly using Antique Cypress.
When my parents chose to retire, I decided to take the business in a different direction. Rather than continuing to operate a traditional “brick and mortar” store, I transitioned to selling direct to past clients and their referrals. We immediately realized large savings by eliminating store overhead, local advertising, and personnel costs. These savings were directly translated into deeply discounted prices for our clients. Beginning in 2006, we expanded our reach by taking our business online. This has allowed us to connect with thousands of clients we would have never otherwise met.
Even though we have grown, we are still a family company at heart. Most of the time, when you inquire about furniture, you will still speak to myself or my husband Ryan (who occasionally takes time away from the financial planning firm he founded to help me out). And of course, I couldn’t do it at all without our two boys – Riverton (who now goes by River) and Reed.
So, from our family to yours, we are so happy to bring you Quality Furniture at Wholesale Prices – and like my mother always says, “help you to purchase tomorrow’s heirlooms today!”
