  1. Where is Riverton Reed Home Store located?
    We are located in Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; and Baton Rouge, LA.

  2. Where did the company name come from?
    The company is named after our sons: River (who is actually named Riverton) and Reed.

  3. Is all the furniture on the website?
    No. We have several manufacturers that we can order from. The amount of furniture available is nearly overwhelming. Because of this, we chose to put our most popular items on the website. However, if you are looking for a particular item or have a picture of something you would like to find, Contact Us and let us know. We can probably help you locate it for a great price!

  4. Do you have a showroom I can visit?
    No. We are an internet retailer. Because we sell direct from the manufacturers online, and don’t have the overhead costs of a typical furniture store, we are able to pass on the savings to you – the customer. This enables us to achieve our goal – Quality Furniture at Wholesale Prices.

  5. How can I learn about the wood type used in my furniture?

  6. What is the difference between solid wood and solid wood veneers?
    In the past 20 years, furniture construction has shifted from 80% solid construction to 80% solid wood veneer construction. This is where a thin piece of solid wood is adhered to a base piece of ply. This type of construction has greatly enhanced the durability of furniture and added new possibilities in design. While solid furniture is wonderful, it is often cost prohibitive and is much more likely to split or crack over time with changing physical environments. ORDERING/SHIPPING


  1. How do I place an order
    You can place your order directly on our site by placing the items you want in your Shopping Basket and then proceeding to checkout. Contact Us directly if you have any questions regarding your order.

  2. How much does shipping cost
    Standard Shipping in the Greater Atlanta area is $95. For shipping outside the Atlanta area, Contact Us for the price. Also, ask us about how to receive FREE SHIPPING

  3. What does the shipping include?
    The Standard Shipping includes “curbside” service – which means the delivery is made to your location and then it is up to you to take the furniture inside. For an additional fee, our shipping company will provide “White Glove” delivery. This includes bringing your furniture inside and setting it all up. Contact Us if you would like information on this option.

  4. How soon will my furniture be delivered to me?
    Riverton Reed Home Store sells directly from the manufacturer. If your items are currently in stock in the local warehouse, they can usually be delivered in under a week. In the event that the items are out of stock locally, it may take a little longer as the items will be shipped from another national warehouse.

  5. What happens if my furniture is damaged during the shipping process?
    Riverton Reed Home Store guarantees that you will receive all your furniture in new, working condition. Every item is inspected before leaving the warehouse and is carefully packed to ensure safe shipping. If for some reason, however, you receive the items damaged, we will make it right. Simply refuse the delivery and send it back with the shipping company. Also, Contact Us to let us know. We will see to it that this item is returned to us and a replacement item will be shipped to you immediately. If no damage claim is made at the time of delivery, Riverton Reed assumes that all items are in new, working order.

  6. Does Riverton Reed Home Store accept returns?
    We do not accept returns on any items. All sales are final. This allows us to keep our prices at their absolute lowest levels. We do, however, guarantee that you will receive your items in good working order. If for some reason your items are damaged, simply return them with your delivery driver and we will replace them free of charge.

  7. Does Riverton Reed Home Store charge sales tax on orders?
    We only have to charge sales tax on orders shipped to North Carolina – the state in which we are domiciled.
